Tone2 updates RayBlaster for Windows to v2.7.2 - Latest News

Tone2 has recently updated its VST synthesizer RayBlaster to version 2.7.2.

The main attraction of the latest update is VST3 & HiDPI support along with a Microsoft installer certificate.

What is RayBlaster v2.7.2?

Rayblaster is a new concept in the audio synthesis area. While most synth plugins use subtraction, addition or FM for sound design, rayblaster uses small energy bursts to generate sounds; Just like our ears do.

This is known as impulse modeling synthesis.

RayBlaster main features

RayBlaster has a very intuitive and outstanding user interface. The plugin has amazing drag and drop modulation with 2 LFO, 2 envelopes, and a step sequencer.


RayBlaster comes with 1100 amazing presets for all kinds of music styles and genres.

Rayblaster v2.2.7 New Features, Enhancements, Bug Fixes and changes

New features:

  • Added a VST3 version.

  • You can select from 3 different installation types: Minimal (VST2 only), Default (VST2 + Standalone), and Full (VST2 + VST3 + Standalone).

  • Added a Microsoft-approved certificate to the installer.

  • HiDPI support for the VST3 version.

  • Workaround for the 'unusual' audio architecture of FL Studio. It is no longer necessary to enable 'Use fixed size buffers' to avoid crackles.


  • Microsoft dropped support for 32-bit Windows. As a result, they will no longer provide updates for it. If you still depend on it you can install v2.6 instead.
