Acoustica audio has recently released its FFT vst plugin series called Nickel. The series features 4 plugins - Nickel Stereo EQ, Nickel Mono EQ, Nickel compressor, and Nickel Pre.
You can buy the Nickel plugin series for just €169.00 from their official website.
The main idea behind nickel is to emulate the character of 60s audio units in modern VST plugins. The series pays tribute to the 'father of modern recording' - Bill Putnam.
The vst emulates the character of FET(field effect transistor) units from late 60s and later.
• NICKEL STEREO EQ: A 4-band stereo fully parametric EQ with High and Low-pass Filters based on vintage US-made devices from the 1960s and 1970s.
• NICKEL MONO EQ: A fully parametric Mono 4-band EQ derived from the Stereo EQ.
• NICKEL COMP: A renowned FET compressor from the 1960s that is unquestionably one of the most popular compressor designs ever. This plugin includes two switchable emulations (rev H and rev LN), each of which is the result of sampling two different Revisions, as well as their respective preamp emulations.
• NICKEL PRE: A total of twenty preamp emulations, including four-line preamps, four mic preamps, four SH1 (Shape mode 1) preamps, four SH2 (Shape mode 2) preamps from a contemporary Precision Microphone Preamplifier with Class-A discrete circuits, and four Custom Preamps.
